Her Majesty The Queen has given us many reasons to celebrate throughout her reign. Now, as she becomes the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, we’re bringing together two UK 50p coins each featuring a distinctive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.

Created by Jody Clark, The Queen’s fifth definitive coinage portrait has appeared on all UK coins that have entered circulation since 2015. For 2022, the experienced coinage artist John Bergdahl designed a Platinum Jubilee portrait in celebration of this special milestone in Queen Elizabeth II’s reign.

Struck in sterling silver and finished to Proof standard, both coins feature a bold, typographic reverse design by the design agency Osborne Ross. Presented together in a case, a booklet exploring the definitive coinage portraits of Her Majesty’s reign accompanies the coins.
