In 2012 to celebrate the Queens Diamond Jubilee, the Royal Mint released a very Limited Issue Diamond Jubilee Gold Proof Sovereign 4 Coin Set struck in solid 22 Carat Gold and includes the Double Sovereign, Full Sovereign, Half Sovereign and Quarter Sovereign Coins.

The set is housed in a handsome walnut-veneer presentation case and is accompanied by an individually numbered Certificate of Authenticity signed by the Chief Executive of the Royal Mint.
Each of the 22 Carat Gold Proof Sovereigns feature on the reverse the new modern design of St George and the Dragon designed by Paul Day while obverse has the stunning portrait of Her Majesty, The Queen by Ian Rank Broadley FRBS.
These legal tender coins have been struck to proof quality using specially prepared dies and highly polished blanks.
